Gift #7: Attitude
On the seventh day of Christmas, the Adventure Collective brings you a gift from Sophie Dollar of Leam Boat Centre - the attitude needed to make things happen
In April we were bowled over by the open-minded, get-things-done attitude of Sophie Dollar, the centre manager at Leam Boat Centre. How can she have done so much so quickly?!
There’s a lot to learn from Sophie if you read the full article. How she made the difficult choice between university and working in paddle sports, how she likes making changes that she can see work their way through to better customer experiences (including helping the centre win British Canoeing’s “Quality Experience Award”) and in particular the different ways she actively seeks out new ideas to implement.
For those in a hurry, the key takeaways were:
Being open-minded and curious is a great way to make a difference
Admin and back office stuff are part of enhancing the customer experience
Age is irrelevant. Attitude is what counts.
