On the fourth day of Christmas, the Adventure Collective brings you a gift from Adam Evans, outdoor trainer and expedition leader - the benefits of picking a niche (and a bit about how to do so)

Adam was very supportive when we kicked this project off and had loads to share from his wide and varied experience. In March we featured his three tips on how to differentiate yourself from a pizza. In short, the key takeaways were:

• Attitude. Take the business side of things as seriously as the adventure side

• Pick a niche. You’ll do better than trying to please everyone

• Work on your people AND your technical skills
